Laws of Nature and Nature’s God

The U.S. Declaration of Independence makes a reference to the Bible through a phrase also found in Sir William Blackstone’s Commentaries on British Common Law.

The phrase “Laws of Nature and Nature’s God” in the US Declaration of Independence is shown to describe “Creation Ordinances” in  John’s Gospel. The Gospel of John Chapters 1-12 contrasts the moral opposites of the Decalogue from Mt Sinai / Mt Horeb into moral positives and moral negatives. John calls moral positives of the Decalogue light (Beatitudes Matt 5:3-12)  and moral negatives darkness. The moral positives are shown to be a reflection of the Creator as LIGHT and GOOD.  The moral negatives are related to the Seven-Headed Beast in Rev 13:1.
